The Yorkshire Terrier is rated 2nd in popularity by the AKC and is celebrated for its large personality. Yorkies, as they are lovingly known, hail from the English city they are named for, where they were utilized as rat wranglers. Today, the breed is desired for its portability, adaptability and lasting energy.
