This painting is a fresh take on the Nutcracker ballet! Story..The Nutcracker turns into a Prince and plans to take Clara on a journey to the Land of Snow, but they are swept away into the ethereal and dreamlike wonderland floating in the moonlit sky of Vincent Van Gogh’s painting the Starry Night. Who knows where this new journey will take them!
I was inspired by the Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience that features a Virtual Reality interactive exhibit that guides you on a journey through “A day in the Life of the Artist.” As a former ballerina I wondered what it would be like to merge the Nutcracker ballet into Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting.
