Mixed media image composed of a Ribbon Doll from my personal vintage collection and my photograph.
Ribbon Dolls date back to the 1920-30's. The paper doll patterns were sold to ribbon art enthusiasts who created beautiful colonial ladies and brides by sewing 3/4 inch ribbon onto the cardboard pattern thus creating a beautiful image worthy of framing and gift giving. Lace was often added to the various beautiful paperdolls ..From my collection of Ribbon Dolls
